National U19 Championship to Begin Across Pakistan on 15 September

Lahore, 14 September 2026: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the National U19 Championship will get underway across the country on Tuesday, 15 September. The three-day tournament will feature 20 U19 teams representing 16 cricket regions.
The National U19 Cup, a one-day competition, will commence on Saturday, 19 September.
Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Sialkot will each field two teams in both competitions. Approximately 400 young cricketers will participate in the two tournaments, giving them an opportunity to feature in red-ball cricket in the National U19 Championship before playing white-ball cricket against the same opponent in the corresponding round of the National U19 Cup.
The champions of each tournament will receive PKR 2 million, while the runners-up will take home PKR 1 million.
Both tournaments will give emerging players an important platform to push their case for selection in the Pakistan U19 team for upcoming international commitments. Pakistan U19 are currently in England, where they are playing a bilateral series against England U19.
The 20 participating teams have been divided into four groups of five teams each. The top two teams from every group will qualify for the quarter-finals. The winners of the quarter-finals will move into the semi-finals, while the two semi-final winners will meet in the final.
The National U19 Cup final is scheduled for 24 October, while the National U19 Championship final, which will be played as a four-day match, is set to take place from 3 to 6 November. The venues for both finals will be confirmed at a later stage.
Live scoring for the National U19 Championship will be available through the PCB Match Centre, while live scoring for the National U19 Cup will also be provided through the PCB Match Centre.
Four matches from each round will also be live-streamed on Tapmad and Tamasha for viewers in Pakistan. Fans outside Pakistan will be able to watch the live coverage through the PCB’s YouTube channel.
